Ideation Phase

Initially, I wanted to create a screensaver-like game called "Take Me Home," where a traveler would peacefully make their way home if the player didn't interact with their device for a set period. Upon arriving home, the player could then chat with the traveler using a Large Language Model.

However, after considering the scope and time constraints of the week-long game jam, I realized that incorporating procedural backgrounds, the Infinite Nature model, and an LLM for the chat aspect might be too ambitious.

Instead, I pivoted to a more achievable concept: a simple platformer game with a spring feel to it. I spent the afternoon learning Unity.
